From Rebellion To Return-Exploration And Analysis Of Chinese Modern Ceramic Craft From1984Till Now

Nowdays,Under the influence of contenportary art,Chinese contemporary creators of Ceramic,fully exploring ceramic material as medium of artistic creation,create works of art which can show unique charm of ceramics,convey personal feelings of artists,and reflect reality of current society,showing a brand-new artistic style to public’s view.Though the staring of Chinese ceramic is relatively later than that of American ceramic,thousands of years of traditional Chinese ceramic art provide well versed technical and profound cultural support for the developing of Chinese contempory art.Though the persistent efforts of ceramic artists,gradually,Chinese modern ceramic art becomes a main art form,getting more recognition and attention and then shining on the international stage.In the processing of writhing this paper,the writer uses literature collection method and survey research method.First,she collected periodicals,papeers and works about Chinese modern ceramic art,combing in China accordingly,and participated exhibition and cultural acticity about modern ceramic art positively.On this basis,the writer tried combing the chronology(1984-) of the development of Chinese modern ceramic art,and according to the exhibitions,conferences and events which played a leading part on the development of Chinese modern ceramic art,dicided it to three stages-transition period,exploration stage and development stage,trying summarizing the typical characteristics of Chinese modern ceramic art on different period,exploring and analyzing the reason of that the appearance of Chinese modern ceramic art varies from time to time,and thinking and summarizing problems in the development of modrern ceramic art.The writer thinks that nearly30years of development of Chinese modem ceramic art tends to be a process of ’rebellion’ to ’return’,’rebellion’ means that on the transition period aesthetic consciousness of the traditional ceramic artists rebel the concept of creation and aesthetic consciousness of the traditional ceramic art of China. It is mainly reflected by the extending of traditional ceramic art property by modern ceramic artists,trying providing more possibilities of the development of modern ceramic art. after the persistent efforts on the exploration and development stage of modern ceramic art,Chinese modern ceramic art is showing a diversified development state,gainning attention of domestic and foreign artists gradually.However,Chinese modern ceramic art has not showed its own unique national cultural characteristics in the international stage. So some ceramists who own international and keen view realize that it is very important to inherit the essence of Chinese traditional culture.Then they initiate ’return’ of traditional Chinese culture,in order to make it be better used in the artistic ceration of modern ceramic and make its unique nationg symbol.
