On The Expression Of Primitivism In Modern Painting

"Primitivism" from the French word "primitif", first appeared in the 19 th century,it is a creation of Western contemporary artists.Many modern artists, absorbed the original art or primitive art, through their own understanding and choice, in form,meaning that there are new exploration, the artists with the help of the original art form, broke the traditional concepts of art, and formed their own artistic style.Many schools of modern art look varies, but generally tend to seek simple, naive art, hungry for spiritual freedom, return to an artistic level.Gauguin, Dubuffet, painter,have borrowed the original art to achieve innovation, their original painting formed his unique art style, and have a profound impact on the history and injected fresh vitality into modern art.The article is divided into three parts, first the background of Primitivism and primitive tendencies described.Second representative works from the original analysis,from the perspective of inner feelings, external form to summarize the original painting’s most prominent feature is authentic and free of emotion.Finally concluded that forms of common characteristics of line, colour, space, texture, as well as the original painting for my creative inspiration.
