Mikhail Shishkin is Russian writer after disintegration of The Soviet Union, he is one of the writers on behalf of the fourth wave of expatriates. ?The Capture of Izmail ? is Shishkin’s representative work, Coming out of the novel established his position in the Russian literary world. Novel reflects dilapidated depression of The Soviet society scene of in 20 th century, miscarriages of justice, repression and exile, hunger and cold. The whole novel is filled with a real topic- trial. This paper attempts to study Shishkin’s novel ?The Capture of Izmail ? from realistic narrative art and post-modernist narrative art as the starting point. A novel changed method of the creation of realistic in the past, and on the foundation of traditional creation writer combined the traditional Russian realism with postmodernism to achieve inheritance and development for the creation of realistic traditional, and through the combination of them not only played a realist appropriate and realistic narrative art, but also adds features after the creation of modernist literature. Although the comments about the novel has been a lot, but most of them are short journal articles, in-depth study of the novel is incomplete, especially for artistic features novel research.Through studying Shishkin’s ?The Capture of Izmail ? realism narrative art and post-modernist narrative art, so that we understand more deeply to Shishkin grasping the structure with more-clues interwoven of the novel, analyze realism and post-modernism features. This paper aims to make deeply analysis from the point of realism and post-modernism literary on the ?The Capture of Izmail ?, and analyze narrative structure, language arts and narrative methods in-depth and make readers better understanding of Ideological connotations of novel and artistic techniques,that is concern on the fate of Russia,so that we better understand the changes after post-Soviet ideology of the Russian people.
