Chinese Traditional Cloud Patterns Applied In The Research Of Modern Gift Packaging Design

Moire is one of the oldest traditional auspicious designs that originated in the Pre-Qin Dynasty and it is also one of the familiar emblazonry that experienced the longest evolution and multi-variant shapes in the cultural history. Nowadays, moire is still popular after thousands of inheritance and change not only because its shape is concision, grace, vivid and elegant, but the rich cultural ambience. Moire formed a kind of visual symbols gradually standing for the traditional auspicious culture of China based on its unique shape and significance, which is of great influence on the Chinese modern visional design concept. It is of high artistic and commercial value to apply moir6 to modern present packing, which plays a very positive role in protecting and inheriting the moire. Therefore, this paper mainly studies the innovative application of moire in the modern present packing design and the innovative design practice with modern present packing as a earner.This paper is mainly divided into six parts. In the first part, the author introduces the historic background and cultural heritage. In the second, the author compares five kinds of moire from the five choices in the development and inheritance in order to study the evolution of shape, composition and expression and then forms relatively systematical expatiation to make theoretical preparation for the application of moire in the modem present packing design. In the third part, the author studies the application moire in the modern present packing design and explores the development room and market prospect of innovative application of moire based on analysis of the forms of expression and the technique of application. In the fourth part-the focus chapter, the author expatiates the innovative design and the application of innovative material of moire in the modern present packing. In the fifth part at design time, by combining theory and practice, clouding the use of innovative materials is the focus of the study, boldly innovate moire deformation, deformation and means to subvert the previous, in order to achieve moire’s innovation performance.The last part is to summarize the research findings of the paper.
