Ge Cuilin’s Fairy-tale World

Chinese fairy tale has formed its unique historical development locus over the long time. When we look back through history, we can see that those fairy tales are so far yet so close. These distance folk fairy tales, inherited by people for ages, shine brilliantly. Nowadays, writers and poets constantly fulfill their personal potential and have made their own legends in enriching the folk fairy tales. Among many literary men, Cuilin Ge is a typical example of fairy tale writer, who integrates folk fairy tale and literary fairy tale. Throughout her lifetime, she has worked hard to bring about shinning fairy tales and created many excellent fairy tales for children to feed their minds with valuable mental food.This paper is divided into three parts. Part I mainly analyzes the creation reasons and the accumulation of Cuilin Ge’s fairy tale.Part II, on the basis of specific works, analyzes and discusses Cuilin Ge’s deep artistic means in fairy tale creation, including four aspects, i.e., spiritual realm, creative style, image description and language arts.Part III, to explore the value and limitation of Cuilin Ge’s fairy tale.Ge’s fairy tale world is always full of love although in development and change of the age. Cuilin Ge, for children, is a rare intimate friend and guide, who can be happy when children are happy and sad when they are sad. Her fairy tale, as a mental bridge for the adult to communicate with children, has realized real exchange on a soul level and has formed real children’s literature.
