Metaphor is a basic human cognitive style,its emergence and the use of enriched our spiritual life,provided the new ways of expressing our mental and emotional fellings.The use of metaphor in the process of the creation of lyrics is a very common phenomenon.This article was writed from the perspective of cognitive linguistics,by Lakoff and Johnson’s theory of metaphor,used the method of combining the quantitative and qualitative analysis,analysesed the metaphorical phenomenon in Faye Wong songs.The article mainly consists of three parts:The first part introduced Faye Wong songs creation and characteristics.The quantity of songs creation is large,the lyrics creation level is high,sung with strong degree.Expressions are greatly influenced by the literary works,the pursuit of the beauty of the language is concise,has the characteristics of using classical style and vernacular.In second part,the author mainly discussed the metaphor phenomenon of Faye Wong from the perspective pg metaphor.To attribute domain and target domain ande the mapping between them as the basic reference point, the author divided the attribute domain into seven categpries:animals and plants,the specific things,military confrontation,human organs,journey experience,weather conditions ande other lclasses.In the third part,with the help of the key point of mapping-similarity,the author dicussed the effect of the ch the using of metaphor in detail.And on the basis of the paper,summarize the characteristic of Faye Wong songs of metaphor:Faye Wong’s songs have metaphorical mapping,with psychological similarity is given to,nominal metaphor is more, original domain corresponds to the target domain of the diversified characteristics.
