| This study mainly analyzed suicide ideation, personality and defense style of collage students on population variables, and the correlation among three factors. Meanwile, the study also discussed defense style playing mediating effect between personality and suicide ideation. The paper used a questionnaire research method to examine 561 college students at three colleges in Changchun, and conducted statistical analysis by SPSS 19.0. The results of this study indicates:1.Among 561 subjects, there was 7.5% students had suicide ideation in the prior week, and 19.8% students had suicide ideation at the time in the past when the subject felt most depressed. There was no significant difference of gender, school major, grade, student –resource and family types between college students with and without suicide ideation. And there was significant difference of gender, school major on suicide ideation strength.2.On psychoticism(P) of college students, there was significant difference of gender, school major and family types.And there was significant difference of family types on neuroticism(N). There was significant difference of student –resource on extraversion(E).3.There was significant difference of family types on different defense style.4.Between college students with and without suicide ideation, there was significant difference of all factors of personality and defense style.5.There was marked significant correlation among all factors of suicide ideation, personality and defense style except intermediate defense and extraversion.6.Defense style played mediating effects between personality and suicide ideation. |
