Inhibition of return(IOR) refers to a slowed response to a target appearing at a previously attended location or the target which is the same as the object appeared before.Researchers generally believed that inhibition of return of human cognition improved search efficiency, individual psychological mechanism reflects the flexibility and adaptability, evolutionary biology has great significance.Since Kabat-Zinn introduced the mindfulness into Psychotherapy field, a variety of studies on mindfulness continue to emerge. They explain the mechanism of action and intervention in mindfulness-based therapies from different angles. Throughout the previous study found that the impact of mindfulness training on attention can be summarized as two aspects: endogenous attention and exogenous attention. And the change of endogenous and exogenous attention can affect IOR. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of mindfulness training on inhibition of return. This study is divided into three parts: 1.To investigate the effect of mindfulness training on the awareness level of individual attention. The purpose of this study is to verify the effectiveness of mindfulness training.2.Investigate the effect of mindfulness training on endogenous attention IOR. It studied the influence of endogenous attentional condition on magnitude of IOR of the individuals before and after the mindfulness training, based on the attentional set formed by designing the probability of targets appearing on the cued location. 3.It studied the differences between between before and after the mindfulness training in IOR task using varied SOA, with fixed Cue validity. The results are as follows:1) Six weeks of mindfulness training can effectively improve the awareness level of attention of college students.2) Mindfulness training can affect endogenous IOR.3) Individuals have different time courses of IOR, before and after accepting the mindfulness training.
