The Gragon pattern art on official girder of the Qing Dynasty is a kind of special royal colored drawing on the Chinese traditional architectural colored drawing. Based on the analysis of the historical, culture and social values, this paper is going to explore its unique philosophy of life, aesthetic idea, technological level. The Gragon Pattern art on official girder of the Qing Dynasty, affected by the social mainstream culture such as gods worship and feudalism, was claimed as the best among the official colored drawing of the Qing dynasty with an new and outstanding artistic forms. The Gragon pattern serves as the milestone in the Chinese traditional architectural colored drawing, drawing a picture for us to understand the development of the traditional colored drawing.The efforts to analysize the cultural background of Qing dynasty and trace back to the original of architectural colored drawing can draw a conclusion of the comparison with the forms of colored drawing in different fields and find out the main features of official colored drawing of Qing dynasty. Emergence and development of the Gragon Pattern of the Qing Dynasty is not only the result of the ancients’ cognition and reconstruction of nature, and an important basis of faith, but also the representation of feudal hierarchical ritual in architectural decoration.Having made a research on the formation and the development of the Gragon Pattern, we find that it has been influenced by the Tangent circle pattern in the early stage, and gradually formed and perfected the theme of dragon entitled the symbol of imperial power, eventually became the best official colored drawing of Qing dynasty, which enriched the traditional architectural art history. This paper highlights the analysis of the main types and levels of the Gragon Pattern, and discussed five classical forms of the Gragon Pattern: Dragon pattern, Dragon and phoenix pattern, Dragon and grass pattern, Phoenix pattern, and Sanskrit pattern. It also points out the special forms of the Gragon Pattern with three features of perfect combination of lines and planes,symmetrical balance and the permutation from the perspective of the art symbols and decoration language. It has been concluded that there are three levels of Design elements, elements combination, permutation in its decoration and it has the characteristics of resplendent with gold, simplicity and blue alternating with green. Then, from the perspective of the form of Gragon Pattern, it also analyzes the distinctive mark semantics which the Gragon Pattern had, and the oriental beauty that has never waned in the pattern, the rhythm of a beauty in order, and the beauty of architectural lying in the extravagance. Finally, it summarizes the signifying process that the general decoration grain type institute has from“the performance” “the reappearance”again “the image”, and analyzes the application rule that the Gragon Pattern was used in the modern design art,as well as puts forward the performance, the suitability, the multiple modeling principle for the modern design, and also provides the mentality for the traditional rosefinch grain in the modern design application.
