| The“educator-running schoolâ€was firstly introduced into the national key educational literature in 2010. From different perspectives, the educators can be divided into different types, of which the principals are the largest group that may become the educators. With the return of the autonomy of running school, the principal-running school has become the core problem of educational reform and development. The era is calling educators, while being educators shall be the value orientation of professional development of thousands of educators. The historical experience can be taken for reference on how to become educators. During the Republic of China, the Zhang Zhujun hailed as “feminine Liang Qichaoâ€is the first western doctor in China who established the earliest female western medicine school governed by Chinese people and then stay in the first-line of education in all her life..During the process of classification and inductive research of educators, the author concluded three characteristics owned by educator-principal including lifelong school running, full dedication; unique concept, profound influence; noble personality, soul of school. Those three characteristics correspond to the will, intelligence and emotion that supported by value leadership, specialized leadership and moral leadership respectively. This author applied case study and historical analysis to dig out the four characters a cted by Zhang Zhujun including western medicine promoters, feminist advocator, women education pioneer and revolution followers by conducting deep research on Zhang Zhujun’s growth experience, personality traits, living environment as well as her social hi storical background. Those four types of social characters belong to same achieved role. With mutual overlay, the educator identity was constructed; the educational concepts such as female personality education, female professional education, medical specialized education as well as Chinese and Western culture education are also formed. Based on the above mentioned, the author asserted Zhang Zhujun as an educator.Educators shall not only exist in the dictionary, history book and state-building strategy. Instead, any era may come out educators. The current society of China is seeking educators urgently and the people is calling the educators eagerly, both of which will help more principals grow into educators. |
