Chinese has become second International language, and Chinese also is the world’s most widely used language. A lot of countries has begun their Chinese language education, and Indonesia was one of them. People used to only focus on Chinese language education for primary school, middle school and high school, people used to look down to the people who choose Chinese language major in university, because the students who graduated from Chinese language major in the last 20 years can only be a Chinese language teacher. Nowadays, China has more and more economic relations with Indonesia, and more Indonesian people want to visit China for tourism reason, so the demands of people who can speak Chinese language is continuously increasing. Because of these reasons, people who choose Chinese language major is keep on increasing, but sadly people who really insist on learning Chinese is keep on decreasing.Learning motivation is the internal factor for people to start to learn, and also the internal factor for people to insist on learning. To have learning motivations is not only based on the student efforts, but also the teachers responsibility to use various teaching methods for improve students learning motivation. This paper mainly researching about learning motivations of Chinese language major students of Bunda Mulia University in Indonesia. Writer hopes that this survey and analysis can provide Bunda Mulia University’s teacher a better teaching method to improving student’s learning motivation.
