Language is the carrier of culture,and vocabulary is the most effective medium spreading through every country.Due to the dissimilar cultural background of Chinese and English,the phenomenon that cultural connotations of glossary are not equivalent has been the barrier impeding two people from communicating.In recent years,the number of foreigners who learn Chinese then come to China for study and living are increasing,which indicates that Chinese teaching is quite popular.For the sake of better communicating and furthermore drawing the educators attention to teaching of non-equivalence glossary,this essay analyses the results and causes through researching the papers related to the non-corresponding phenomenon existing in Chinese and English glossary culture,at the same time provides several suggestions for teaching according to the challenges and opportunities erupted in the contemporary Chinese teaching as a second language.
