As the lead power, the new youth tried to push down the sense of worth which their parents protected with great care. The feminism canvasser took this opportunity as the chance that they could got back the rights which belongs to women. The film was took as a metaphorical art products, which concerned by all kinds of the feminist sects. When the film was born, women was occur in the film as an indispensable part. The women in the films have various roles and personas. From the beautiful young girl to the new married lady; from the mother who nurse their children to the frail old lady, these are all the parts that women play in the film. Because of these parts, which make a film complete. This paper combined the feminism and the feminist film theories to research the western feminist films during 1960 s to 1990 s.This paper elaborated the meaning of feminism, the reasons how the feminist film formed, the feminist film theories, and how the feminist theories appeared in the western feminist films during 1960 s to 1990 s.
