| Chardin was the greatest French still life painter in 18th-century. He is also considered a master of Civilian Realism, a strong contrast with the decadence of the Rococo style at the same period. Chardin’s painting gives out a long lasting impact to future generations by his delicate emotion and skillful techniques. He first got his fame from early painting "The Ray", whose plainness, ordinary, realness represented the Chardin’s artistic achievements in many ways. It is an art that deserves our in-depth study. This article studies the painting in five aspects. Frist, it analyzes the aesthetic appeal thro ugh the "image of choice"; Second, it observes the means of expression through the "colo ur analyze"; Third, it analyzes the control of appearance through the "diffusion of light"; Fourth, it helps us to learn how to deal with space though the "perspective analysis"; Fift h, it studies the structure of the picture through the "composition pattern". Lastly conclud ing, the importance of research of this painting, and the inspiration it gives us. |
