International students can have learned simple oral communication since they entered into intermediate stage. They can greet to others, go shopping, ask for directions. However they can’t express their opinions, give a speech or discuss some topic completely when they need to speak a complete passage. They usually try to avoid speaking some complicated sentences when they communicate with others. The reason why they can’t speak complicated sentences is not only relevant to their psychological factor that make them speak simple Chinese sentences, but also illustrate that they lack of enough express training. So the object of intermediate oral Chinese course is to cultivate their ability of speaking Chinese completely and oral communicative competence.In order to achieve two goals of intermediate spoken Chinese teaching, I think we must expand their vocabulary and take full advantage of texts. Vocabulary is the material of language. People can communicate with others once they own enough words. In addition, students must study lots of words reflect Chinese culture, which contribute to make them understand Chinese culture and communicate Chinese effectively.Text teaching is crucial to intermediate spoken Chinese teaching. On the one hand, the text provide lots of oral sentence pattern which is relevant to their actual life.On the other hand, text is consist of passages as a independent discourse, lots of sentences consist passage. So the process of learning text is to help students analysis the structure of text, cultivate their ability of speaking passages. The paper analysis the process of text teaching, summarize teaching methods of every stage in order to guide intermediate oral Chinese course. |
