Current Situation Study On Bazhong Grottoes Art Under The Context Of Intangible Cultural Heritage

This dissertation demonstrates the present situation of the inheritance and pr otection of Bazhong grottoes, applying the intangible cultural heritage and protect ion as the main perspective. Bazhong grottoes is an intangible cultural heritage o f art, history and scientific value. The art value of Bazhong grottoes art lies in t he following:as the heritage of valuable artial experience, it is the crystallization of ancient Chinese artists and the wisdom of the working people; as a treasary, it shows the artistic style of carving time, technological level and the contempo rary aesthetic characteristics; as a tourist attraction, it has the function of generat ing appreciation, pleasure and aestheticism. Historically, it is the creation of our ancestors in the history of the cultural relics, which cannot be imitated shoddily, once damaged it will be irreversible, moreover, every grotto statues are carrying the brand of the times, showing the characteristics and information of the era, as the evidence of history process. The important value of Bazhong Grottoes is t hat its scientific information can reflect technological level and productivity of so ciety at that time. However, there are many studies after searching China Nation al Knowledge Infrastructure(CNKI), whatever for Longmen Grottes in north Chin a, Yungang Grottoes, or Dazu Grottoes which located the same in Basu, and A nyue Grottoes, but little researches have been done on Bazhong Grottoes. On the other hand, due to the impact of natural and man-made dual factors, the curren t situation to protect Bazhong Grottoes art is not optimistic, for Grotto statues is incomplete, weathered, damaged everywhere. For this reason, in order to mark t he endless inheritance value of Bazhong Grottoes shining in art, history and scie nce, a study on Bazhong Grottoes is very urgent and significant under the circu mstance of intangible cultural inheritance.The article is divided into five parts. The introduction illustrates necessary i nformation on the protection and inheritance of Bazhong Grottoes. Now more exi sting researches are trending to explore the niches type of Bazhong Grottoes, co ntent of statues and their stage and age, or the origins and evolution of the the me of the Grotto. Overall, most of them are treated as archaeological exploratio n, little research has been done in contemporary social and cultural backgrounds from the study of the status of Bazhong Grottoes art under the environment of i ntangible cultural inheritance, and the latter study gives fresh and lasting vitality to the cornerstone of Bazhong Grottoes art. The second chapter explains the cha nges of intangible cultural inheritance in survival predicament and inheritance mo de. In terms of Bazhong Grottoes, on one hand, the whole grottoes are gradually and unintentional threatened by wind and rain, temperature, landslides, mountai n avalanches and other natural factors, on the other hand, they are directly threat ened by human factors during the process of protection, development and manag ement; leading to Grotto statues authenticity and integrity have been damaged. I n terms of inheritance, should foster a culture of pride, identity, build a good in heritance atmosphere; re-establish contact with people’s lives, on the basis of re-i mplement culture functions, make use of cultural industries, modern education an d modern media and other ways to inherit. The third chapter sorts out the histor y of Bazhong Grottoes, geographical distribution, conservation status and value, r evealing the urgency and necessity of Bazhong Grottoes protection and inheritanc e. Bazhong Grottoes artistic value mainly presents unity between God and human shared space, high order; has a distinctive Chinese art style; feminine Buddha a nd the "Three Religions" integration of statues show the unique charm. Meanwhi le, in comparison with the North Grottoes and Basu Grottoes, I found that Bazh ong Grottoes art has distinctive characteristics in shape, theme statues, statues co mbinations, showing the irreplaceable mainly value. As the bright star of China’s grotto cultural treasures, the study of Bazhong Grottoes are not only necessary but also urgent under the context of intangible cultural inheritance. The fourth c hapter discusses the problem in Bazhong Grottoes protection and inheritance, the way and strategies of contemporary Bazhong Grottoes art inheritance, to explain the initial point and key point of the future of Bazhong Grottoes protection and Inheritance.At present, although the work of Bazhong Grottoes protection and i nheritance in the research planning, comprehensive treatment, industrial developm ent and other aspects undertaken already achieved some success, there are still e xisting unsystematic, superficial, scattered and one-sided static protection, implem ented plan and lack of funds, disordered development, lack of management, blind ness, over-exploitation and other problems. According to the problems ahead, this dissertation provides some proposals to help Bazhong Grottoes’ sustainable devel opment, to make upright starting point for correct operation and social investmen t, to increase research depth and optimize protection methods, to implement fund s investment, expand sources of funds and to play an active role of the media a nd so on.By systematic in-depth study on Bazhong Grottoes art inheritance and protec tion situation,this paper focuses on intangible cultural inheritance as research per spective, focusing on this core issues such as how to protect and inherit, make a worthy research and collect related information. By corresponding systematic analysis, the industrialization of its inheritance and protection are both contradicto ry and complementary, so to fulfill win-win strategy, the most vital is to control the degree. To be short-term greedy, blind, excessively commercial will impose an indelible impact on Bazhong grotto. Only prudent exploration, scientific protec tion, heritage intention can make Bazhong grottoes blossom in sustainable develo pment.
