The Proofreading And Annotation Of The Poetry Literature In Shanghai Museum And Tsinghua University Collection Of Chu Bamboo Slips Of Warring States Period

Recently, a lot of poems were discoverd in the unearthed bamboosilk, among which Chu (楚) bamboo slips were the largest and most concentrated. The poems in Chu bamboo slips can be divided into two main genres, one type is similar to the Book of Songs ( 《诗经》), the other is similar to the Songs of the South (《楚辞》). And most of these poems in Chu bamboo slips are not handed down, so people have never seen them. These lost poems in Chu bamboo slips show us the aspect of pre-Qin (先秦) poems besides of the Book of Songs and the Songs of the South, and provide important new materials for the study of Chu literature, script and pronunciation development in pre-Qin period for us. In addiction to the above, there are a few poems in Chu bamboo slips which correspond with the classical books. These poems provide us some different race of the Book of Songs and the Songs of the South, which has great value for the research of writing and spread process of the Book of Songs and the Songs of the South. In a word, the poems in Chu bamboo slips are precious heritages of the pre-Qin literature, worthy of attention, researching and utilization.At present, the poems in Chu bamboo slips are found mainly in the collection of bamboo slips of Shanghai Museum (which is referred to as Shanghai Museum Bamboo slips) and the collection of bamboo slips of Tsinghua Univesity (which is referred to as Tsinghua University Bamboo slips). There are 13 poems in those bamboo slips. As an important discovery in the history of the pre-Qin literature, these poems provide precious materials for the study of pre-Qin poetry literature. Currently the exploring on these poems has more in-depth, and numbers of papers has been published. However, those papers mostly confined to a single poem and microscopic research in a few field like philology, linguistics and literature, lack of integrated systems, and the original text didn’t get fully organized and annotated. In view of this, this paper has done the most basic work about proofreading and annotating these poems. The details are as follows:Firstly, count the number of the poems in Shanghai Museum and Tsinghua Slips, and brief their contents and preservation status. Secondly, review the previous of related works in classification, point out the research value, research status in various fields and the corresponding problems of these poems. Thirdly, proofread and annotate these poems as far as comprehensive and correctly, and description of the dispute with a note to organize ideas and save data, so it can provide convenience for further follow-up study. Finally, collect and organize the relevant literature with these poems, and list in Appendix, reference for other researchers.
