Han Shaogong’s Literature Creation And Lu Xun Spirit

Han Shaogong is one of the best writers in Chinese new-era literature. With profound knowledge of literature and thinking, his literature creation is closely linked to real life. He has done exploration and practice in different kind of creation from novel, essay to translation, speech even to cross-genre writing. It is easy to find the deep influence of Lu Xun in Han’s creations. Either anxious consciousness, critical criticism or rationalism, are all down to his bone and make him a successor of Lu Xun spirit in contemporary era. Lu Xun spirit has been handled down from generation to generation. Like many other successors, Han does not only keep the precious Lu Xun spirit but also tried to break the shackle of time to refresh this spirit in the new age. This essay mainly focused on Han’s succession and development of Lu Xun spirit, and tried to provide a perspective to interpret the extension of Lu Xun spirit in contemporary era.This essay is divided into three parts:introduction, main body and conclusion.Introduction mainly started from summarization of relative research on Han and Lu Xun, explained the background and value of this topic, and then analyzed the feasibility of linking Han’s literature creation to Lu Xun spirit.The first chapter started from the relationship between Han’s literature creation and Lu’s anxious consciousness, researched and discussed the relationship based on Han’s most presentative part of Lu’s anxious consciousness, namely the concern to people’s living situation, concern to the literature situation and concern to the status of country and society.The second chapter started from the relationship between Han’s literature creation and the skepticism and critical thinking in Lu Xun spirit. Based on the existence of skepticism and critical thinking in Han’s creation, this chapter tried to discuss the correspondence between Han and Lu, which reflected Han’s succession of Lu’s skepticism and critical thinking.The third chapter started from the relationship between Han’s literature creation and rationalism in Lu Xun spirit. This chapter tried to discuss this relationship through Han’s persistent pursue and exploration of human nature, dialectical mode of thinking, practical rationalism character, mingle of emotions and rations in his creations.The fourth chapter set Lu Xun spirit in history, and discussed the situation of Lu Xun spirit in nowadays in different aspects:establishment, twist, recovery, breakage and handover of Lu Xun spirit. Putting Han together with other Lu Xun spirit successors and comparing him with other two Zhangs, this chapter tried to feature the special sense Han means as a successor of Lu Xun spirit and further expound the importance in inheriting Lu Xun spirit of Han’s creation not only to contemporary era but also to the future.The conclusion part mainly focused on Han’s contribution of enriching and developing Lu Xun spirit in new era creation, tried to find Han’s limitations in his succession of Lu Xun spirit. This chapter also discussed the questions in inheriting Lu Xun spirit in contemporary times and the importance of Lu Xun spiritual tradition means to nowadays and even the future China.
