The form of the artistic style of Chinese traditional landscape paintinghas a deep relation with China’s geographical environment and traditionalChinese arts. When the western landscape painting are absorbing more andmore Chinese elements, the geographical environment and the Chinesetraditional arts become the main factors. This essay summarized the whole-century-history indigenization and analyzed the main effects. It follows theplots the main factors that affect the development of Chinese traditionallandscape painting.At the beginning, the essay explains the meaning of the indigenizationof landscape oil painting and summarizes the process. The focus is the onthe causes, including the regional differences, traditional arts, ideologicaltrends and the promotion of artists. For example, the writer analyzed thetheme, the style and the approaches according to the regional differences,however, according to the effects of the Chinese ink painting, the writertells the application and the combination of the landscape painting and theink painting, at the same time,the writer also tells the folk arts’influence onthe indigenization. Then follows the artists’promotion to the indigenizationof Chinese landscape painting, in this aspect, the writer tells the movementsin arts and artists’ contribution to the development of the indigenization. Atlast, the writer talked about the value and the meaning of theindigenization.In the age of globalization, the Chinese landscape oilpainting are stepping on the way of combination, innovation and thediversification,basing on the Chinese-western landscape painting. The exploration ofthe indigenization also means a lot to the creativity of landscape oilpainters, it affects Chinese’ view of beauty and also give the landscapepaints a brand new future.
