Among all the beautiful pieces of piano music, Chopin’s Nocturne is the one piecewith the most beautiful melody and the deepest meaning. Western Nocturnes originallywere produced in the middle ages, which was a kind of vocal music genre, and laterdeveloped into one of the most typical instrumental music genre in the19th centurythrough a long history of time. Field, who made the nocturne board the stage of history asa brand new piano music genre, developed20new originals. And on the basis of theField’s development of Nocturne,Chopin, who developed nocturnes constantly, gave anddeepened nocturnes with rich ideological content.Chopin gave his life to create21Nocturne, which is famous for its beautiful melody and delicate emotions. The creation ofthe Nocturneswas almost throughout the various periods of Chopin’s life, which reflectsdifferent style characteristics of Chopin’s music in different periods. Through theappreciation of Chopin nocturnes, it is not hard to find out that rich singablity melody isone of the main performance means. Therefore, this article starts from the melody ofChopin’s nocturne and conducts a concrete analysis and understanding of the differentemotions and music connotation derived from the great nocturnes, on the purpose ofconducting better serving of Nocturnes playing.In the first chapter, the detailed introduction of purpose, status, and content of thisthesis research is delivered. In the second chapter, how did the Nocturnes evolved into akind of instrumental music genre from a vocal music genre is introduced from theprospective of genre course development of nocturne. Then the Chopin’s nocturne aresummarized, a preliminary understanding of the general situation of Chopin nocturnes isachieved. In chapter3and chapter4, the example analysis of melody structure is madefrom prospects of the melody line direction, the change of interval, the melody of thedevelopment of technique and statement structure.And on this basis of former analysis, thehumanistic connotation, which is the piety, lyrical and dramatic of the melodyis excavated.The last chapter, concrete suggestions of the interpretation of nocturne play are putforward from the aspect of singability touch of the keys, coloratura style to play and comparative play style.In summary,Nocturne, as a kind of small instrumental music genre of the romanticperiod is developed and deepened in Chopin’s hands. The rich of emotions andideological connotations expressed from the music has high artistic value and in-depthstudy and explore are still in need.
