Report On Literature Translation

This report is based on12literature articles of Frank Richard Stockton’s workRound-about Rambles in Lands of Fact and Fancy, and their English to Chinese translationversion. The report will explain what translating methods and tactics the translator hasemployed during the translating process under the guidance of Nord’s function plus loyaltytheory. The analysis will focus on two aspects, the vocabulary and the sentence, each willgives examples to further illustrate. In addition, the translator will make a summary of thetranslation errors as well as the experience gained from the process. In this translation project,by combining the practice with the theory, the translation level of the translator has improved.
