Study On Design Value Evaluation Based On Design Axiology

This paper has three purposes: First, research on design axiology byexploring the philosophical significance of the theory of value and seek anew perspective of design research as well as the appropriate method todeepen the understanding of design essence. In this article, the secondchapter mainly discusses this section. Second, analysis the existence formof design value based on design axiology to build design value evaluationindex system in a general sense, which described in the third chapter. Third,choose an appropriate evaluation method through the comparative analysisof existing evaluation methods in order to explore the construction ofdesign value evaluation model.This paper adopts literature study, analysis and comparison method,the interdisciplinary research method to do the study. Introducing thetheory of value philosophy to design research field is helpful to enrich theresearch system of design value and value evaluation theory. Thediscussing of design value makes design practices closer to people’s lives,arouses the resonance of the users, which can also help design get moreattention and reflection. Design value evaluation method is proposed tohelp measure the impact or value of design, thereby affecting nationalindustrial structure adjustment and optimal allocation of resources,deepening the understanding and attention of businesses to design,assisting designer’s value judgments and trade-offs on design innovationand promoting the public’s awareness of design deep significance.
