La Formosa Nov-literaturo(1935-1937) is not only one of the most important literature magazines during the Taiwan of Japanese occupation, but also the remained left-wing literary magazines in the late1930’s.Its publishing course witnessed the whole process of the left-wing literary movement from climax to failure.The magazine recorded the original left-wing movements, so it is of importance, moreover,the magazine called for a international left-wing reunion, thus has its representative.This Master thesis takes it as the research object, discusses1930s of Taiwan’s left-wing literature movement, tries to achieve both external and internal research on the left-wing literary study.This Master thesis puts stress on the relevance between literature and society,and shows a interest on literary sociology and close reading of the texts,to review the producing issue and writing achievements of La Formosa Nov-literaturo.The Posture of the Left-wing is the entry to understand this magazine,it shows all the creative achievements and shortcomings of it.This Master thesis is divided into three parts:the introduction,the exterior chapter and the interior chapter,together with a appendix as its background information, make this object more complete.The introduction part guides into the background of left-wing literature movement of Taiwan of Japanese occupation,and points out that Taiwan left-wing literature has its own background. Its cultural discourse contains the following topics:in the colonial context,it reviews the characterizations of class conflict, criticizes the facts of class oppression; it gives the objective description of lower level people’s living status;it seeks international proletarian unite. These subjects showed the recalcitrant attitude that of the second generation of intellectuals in the left-wing movement.The exterior chapter focuses the publications production of magazine, discusses its left-wing attitude’s formation.The first section analyses the writers’ group identity politics according to the times of three generations of intellectuals’ identity choice in comparative situation, points out that the inhomogeneous feature of the La Formosa Nov-literaturo colleagues, also the posture of left-wing is not just a simple respond to the1930’s global wave of left-wing literary and artistic movement. The second section analyses the publication case, pointed out that La Formosa Nov-literaturo maintained an alert mind on the prosperous situation under colonial discourse,and manifests as a power object for a strong colonial discourse system.The interior chapter,which examines the left-wing writing performance of La Formosa Nov-literaturo,firstly discusses the construction of left-wing literary theory.Through the discussion with Japanese left-wing writers,the magazine establishes a new direction by constructing a colonial literature way,and sticks to the idea of popularization of literature.Subsequently,the second section analyses the strategic editorial policy of La Formosa Nov-literaturo,scrutinizes two representative works in this magazine,namely,Autumn Letter by Zhu Dianren and Crossroadby Wang Shilang.
