Management science is the essence of western culture, translating and introducing management works and the advanced management ideas has a great role in promoting the reform and development of China’s economy. Management Science is a comprehensive discipline, covering a wide range of content, and its language has the characteristics of popularity, accuracy, it mainly use big, neutral words, acronyms and terms on the vocabulary selection, and with it’s practicability of theory and method, the requirements of the high text translation quality and words precision are in urgent need. This translation report is based on the works of Phillip C. Me Graw, Life Code:The New Rules for Winning in the Real World as the translated text and trying to analyze and explore the problems which we would encounter in the process of translation under theoretical guidance of the equivalent translation theory. Through many kinds of translation strategies and methods, specific to the vocabulary and syntax’s equivalence in pragmatic and style, combined with the specific example, the author use translation methods of semantic addition and omission, word formation, passive sentences processing and application of the literal translation and free translation, etc,to discuss and solve the the equivalent problem in pragmatic and style between the source language words and target language words in this translation project. This thesis is a translation practice of successology materials from management science, it can help the author have a rational thinking and use the relevant professional knowledge to solve the colloquial and popularized problem in vocabulary and sentence, at the same time the author hope to provide some references and experience for similar translation practice.
