And these features exactly distinguish Yongxin Dialect frommandarin.The compound vowel system in Yongxin Dialect has developed in a relativelymature way, with abundant nasalizations. In Yongxin Dialect, the nasal consonantsand the lateral consonants in mandarin, in most cases, take the form of nasalizations,with velar nasals such as、i appearing quite rarely.However, the tonal system in Yongxin Dialect is not that complicated butsimilar to that of mandarin, with four tones. And the dissimilarity between YongxinDialect and mandarin lies in their different pitch of tones.Due to the popular extension of mandarin in recent years, Yongxin Dialect hasbeen influenced to some extent. Especially, its pronunciation structures has madesome changes, which is reflected in the new faction. Thus, it is believed that YongxinDialect will fading little by little if we don’t speed up studied related to it.
