WangJiinherited the spirit of the Theory of human nature which were popular in thepre-Qin period. He also Absorbed the ideas from the Xin study He made a point that“Xing and Ming are consistent”. In this thesis，”Xing” means the nature ofman.”Ming” means the heavenly principles. Both “Xing” and.”Ming” are consistentin Xin. Wang Ji`s theory about “Xing and Ming are consistent” had a significantinfluence on later generations.The research content of this article mainly from the following several aspects:This paper includes three parts. The first part is the introduction, which gives anoverview of the progress made in the past researches of WangJi, and also shows thesignificance and research methods of this study. The second part includes threechapters. Chapter one introduces WangJi’s lifetime and the historical background.Chapter two reviews the development course of the theory of human nature.Chapter three expounds the purpose of “Xing and Ming is one”，the connotation of“Xing and Ming is one”and “how to realize‘Xing and Ming is one’”. Chapter threediscusses the relationship between “Xing and Ming is one” and the personality theoryin Wang’s theory. The third part shows the application of the main idea of Wang Ji’stheory on "Xing and Ming is one" in modern society. The third part also shows therevelation of the methodology in Chinese philosophy study.In general, this study believes that Wang Ji’s theory on " Xing and Ming is thetypical representative of the human nature in one which is in the view of theheart.The theory can solve life problems.It also has important significance for solvingthe problem of life weary.
