Researches On Military And Denfense Systems Of Bohai Kingdom

Bohai Kingdom(698-926)，a local national regime and vassal state of the TangDynasty，maintained long-term and close contact with the Tang Dynasty. BohaiKingdom is known to history as “the Booming Nation in East Sea”. Since Da Zuorongwas canonized by the Tang Dynasty，Bohai regime had learned the advanced mode ofpolitical,，economic and military systems continuously from Tang Dynasty. In addition，Bohai regime established Wujing followed by the establishment of Tang Dynasty. BohaiKingdom eatablished a strategic defense systems which combined with its actual needsand geographical characteristics. The mainline was the plains and the defense systemswere the mountain cities. The military and defense systems of Bohai Kingdom occupiesan important position in the history of China and Northeast Asia. Therefore，theresearches on the military and defense systems are of great significance.In order to explore the formation causes of “the Booming Nation in East Sea” andthe outstanding contributions to the peace and stability of Northeast Asia which BohaiKingdom made，This paper mainly focuses on the origin of the military systems and theestablishment process of the military defense systems of Bohai Kingdom.In addition，this paper reveals the reasons of Bohai Kingdom rapidly perishes through theinterpretation of the military and defense systems’pros and cons in Bohai Kingdom.The first part introduces the establishment process of Bohai Kingdom，the territoryrabges of Bohai Kingdom in its booming period and the resident formation of BohaiKingdom.The second part introduces the origin of the military in Bohai Kingdom，andattempts to analyze how Bohai Kingdom consolidate its regime by military and standamong the nations of the Northeast Asia.The third part introduces the formation of the defense systems in Bohai Kingdom，and analyzes the establishment process of the strategic defense systems in BohaiKingdom through exploring the military denfense in the cities and affiliated tribes ofBohai Kingdom.The fourth part introduces the historical effect of the military and defense systems in Bohai Kingdom.This chapter discusses the relationships between the formation of“the Booming Nation in East Sea”and the military defense systems of BohaiKingdom.This chapter further explores the position role of Bohai Kingdom and itsposition in Northeast Asia.Bohai Kingdom existed for more than200years in the northeast area of ourcountry，which created the unprecedented pomp of “the Booming Nation in EastSea”.Meanwhile，Bohai Kingdom made a positive countribution to the peace andstability of the order in Northeast Asia.
