Study On The Sustainable Design Of Wuxi Regional Cultural Heritage Resources

As one of the birthplaces of Wu culture, Wuxi has a rich cultural heritage resources.Similar with the other cultural city, Wuxi is also faced with the contradiction between therapid development of city reform, economic and cultural heritage protection and inheritance.How to reform and renewal, reduce the destruction of cultural heritage, realize the sustainabledevelopment of cultural heritage, is the major problem that Wuxi faces in terms of culturalheritage protection.As the transition in society and the human way of life, the life of people gradually getsout of the original cultural environment. Cultural heritage, as the regional cultural relics,itsgeneration, development and inheritance is closely related to people’s way of life. At the sametime, as cultural relics, cultural heritage is historical.The cultural heritage resources of Wuxibasically remain unchanged for decades, and often be misfits the modern way of life, hasformed the regional cultural heritage and development dilemma. In this paper, through theanalysis of design attributes and the value of Wuxi regional cultural heritage resources, thewriter try to find a surviving way for these cultural heritage resources in modern culturalcontext by using modern design methods, make them integrate into the modern way of life,and realize the sustainable development.This paper takes the Wuxi region cultural heritage resources as the research object,carries on the statistical analysis on the status of Wuxi’s cultural heritage, the basiccharacteristics of the Wuxi regional cultural heritage resources. And through the research ofsustainable design, according to the study of Wuxi regional culture heritage resources andsustainable design,the Wuxi regional cultural heritage resources are classified, divided intoart,science and history. The thesis is based on the classification, attributes are studied on theWuxi cultural heritage resources, respectively analyzes the attribute of art, technologyattributes and historical attributes. Based on the perspective of sustainable design, this paperfully mining the design value of Wuxi cultural heritage resources, summarizes its designsymbol value,aesthetic value and the design value of brand design. Based on the analysis ofWuxi regional cultural heritage resource attribute and value system, by using modern designmethods, such as visual communication design, service design, brand design, promote thetraditional cultural heritage actively adapt to the modern cultural environment, so as topromote the sustainable development of the Wuxi regional cultural heritage resources in thecontext of modern culture and sustainable development.
