Vision Narration-----Feminist Art In Contemporary China

During30years from the1990s up to now when China opened the door of the spirit, western works of feminist thought were constantly translated into Chinese and introduced into China. In the late1980s to early1990s in China, western feminist theory gradually exerted a deep influence on Chinese educational circles. As the important spiritual outline of feminist art, pluralistic standpoint of post-feminism ideological trend continuously develops the form of feminist art. Feminist art in China is filled with complicated readability under the current situation of cross-culture. The concept of feminist art should stem from western post-feminism theory. From Western Modern Art Sculpture-Painting-Architecture written by Arnason, we knew that the relationship between female and art started to take on a unique appearance from western70s to80s as the major component of post-modernism art. The feminist art history is generally divided into art history of traditional female and art history of post-feminism. In a short span of more than30years, feminist art history has profoundly influenced Chinese feminist art. As the product of western thought transplantation, the development background of Chinese feminist art is equipped with a unique cultural phenomenon and native temperament.
