| Based on linguistics, the thesis chooses Shenbao as the sample. Using quotations as the clue, studying the changes of objective concepts by dating back to the history of quotations, the thesis illustrates the tracks of Chinese modern news discourses.The first focus should be on the changes of linguistic signs in order to analyze the development of news discourses. Quoting is not only a powerful tool for the objectiveness of the media, but also the basis of modern media practice. Therefore, it becomes a vital variable in analyze the objectiveness of news discourses. Owing to the particularity of the early media in literary form, quotations function differently in different media patterns. So first of all, the paper classifies the patterns of Shenbao news, and discusses the functions of quotations in various patterns. Then an exploration will be carried out on quotations, which show objectiveness, of typical news. This exploration includes the number of news containing quotations, the frequency of quotations, and quoting modes, news sources and quoting verbs, which show different levels of objectiveness.According to the study of the thesis, great changes have taken place in the Chinese news discourse, dating back the whole history. From the study of classic Chinese literature at the beginning to the intentional breakaway of "poetic texts", objective reporting is more and more focused on and applied. Objectiveness becomes an important norm in the journalism, and writing objective report becomes the core mode. It follows the birth of modern media eventually. In the process, quotation plays a vital part. |
