Xiao shunzhi is a practical art education worker who struggles in teaching for a long time. He sums up his experience by combining his creative ideas on "Cirrus" series and experiences in the teaching process, which provides some experiences on solving the problem of paying too much attention on cultivation of artistic generality and neglect students’personalized in the teaching process of Academic Arts Education. The Xiao shunzhi’s art teaching is accompanied by the development of art education from China’s Reform and Opening-up. The Systematic carding and research on the Xiao shunzhi’s art teaching idea and teaching method, would contribute to the cognition and reflection of the situation of the education on Chinese painting, and also has a realistic significance on the cultivation of traditional Chinese painters and the current education reform of Chinese painting.Xiao shunzhi art painting teaching idea is in traditional Chinese painting education in higher normal university, around take the student as the center,, give priority to in order to cultivate students personalized dry, supported by knowledge accomplishment, to melt the west as the way in, to try to inspire, to the heritage and development of folk culture and art, under the guidance of this concept, he built a "basic teaching pays attention to discover and cultivate students personalized ink, composition teaching pays attention to students’ personalized graphic excavation and cultivation of creative teaching to cultivate students’unique experience of life" of the three teaching goal, his traditional Chinese painting teaching concept into a consistent with the method of traditional Chinese painting education..This paper is divided into four parts to analyze Xiaoshunzhi art teaching ideas and teaching methods:The first part is the system analysis of Reasons for the formation of Xiao shunzhi’s art teaching concept.The second part is interpretation on the main content of Xiao shunzh is teaching idea through the analysis of his teaching.The third part is summarize on the different stages of Xiao shunzhi’s teaching methods through student’s work.The forth part is discussion on limitations and contemporary significance Xiao shunzhi’s art teaching idea and teaching method.Finally drawing the conclusion:the research on Xiao shunzhi’s art teaching ideas and teaching methods has positive practical significance, which conducive to the development of current fine arts education reform. The current education of Chinese painting is in the important stage of development, and the diversified cultural background provides many references for the reform of education of Chinese painting, but which also would meet the problem in the innovation between tradition and westernization. So this requires us to inherit the tradition and to accept the challenge, also requires more and more fine arts education workers and artists devote to the discussion on Chinese painting education teaching.
