Ming and Qing dynasty, is the golden age of ideological circle. Yan Li school inthe Qing dynasty was so famous and it has a strong practical feature,which waspursuing the way of Zhou Kong, attaching the study of “Six Classics”, against sittingand reading. Yan Li school standed for useful words, behaviors, ontology and practice.It was one of the outstanding representative in opposition to the Idealist Phylosophy.But Yan Li school’s glory days was short-lived and soon tend to be quiet. Thedevelopment of Yan Li school was Associated with Li Gong.Li Gong’s academic, has experienced three times: Confucianism, Yan Yuan school,Confucian classics. Among them, how to change from Yan Yuan school to Confucianclassics was intriguing, this also was a central goal of the test theory in thispaper.Treated Li Gong south tour event as the critical point of LI Gong’s ideologicaldevelopment, his rheological thought could be divided into foundation, evolution,finalize the design stages. On the attitude of academic proposition between Yan Yuanand Li Gong, this article will highlight the aspect of the "same" during foundationstage and the aspect of the "difference" during the second stage. Focusing on theacademic exchanges between Li Gong and Mao Qiling, Wan Sitong during theevolution stage. At the same time this article will compare with Li Gong’s three stagesin writing academic thoughts change.Li Gong changed many times in his ideological thought. The reasons for histransformation have four factors: Cultural and educational policy during the reign ofKang Xi and Yong Zheng was “begin to loose, then high pressure”; The shift fromproducts to the textual research of the academic trend in the Qing dynasty; Li Gong’spersonality was timid and cautious; Yan Li school had some defects, such as stick toexperience, obscure theory and extreme rhetoric.LI Gong’s ideological development, was the process of his personal academicindependence from learning internalization to mature, and it was also one of importantreasons why Yan Li school trend to be declining. By the way, it matched the basicstructure of changes in the academic at the beginning of the Qing dynasty. So, there isno doubt that it has the very important research significance.
