The Research On Talent’s Thoughts In Lu’s Spring And Autumn

The book Lu’s spring and Autumn, edited by Lubuwei and his retainers in theend of Warring States Period, showed great interest to moral power of talents.As aproduct synthesizing academic and thought in Pre-Qin Period, it also reflect itshistorical background deeply.The creation of Lu’s spring and Autumn, is by the great promotion of Lubuwei.It also meet the need of cultural tradition of Qin. But mostly important is that Lu’sspring and Autumn is the result of synthesizing academic and thought. Under thatcontext, talents thoughts in Lu’s spring and Autumn, showed great interest to the “Shi”in political perspective. It also showed great tolerance to all kinds of “Xian”. Based onthe Confucian and Mohist thoughts, it is trying to reach the utmost of “Dao”.This paper divide the talents thoughts in Lu’s spring and Autumn into four parts:Growing, Knowing, Treating and Using. Firstly reveal the way of training andeducation from subjective and objective perspective, then point out the importance of“Eight Guan Six Yan, Six Qi Four Yin” in the history of Chinese Talent Thought.Describing how the ideal rulers get and treat the talents, this paper also elaborate thepolitical ideal that govern by doing nothing and ruling by officers. This paperconcerned that the “Dao” of goving is according to the “Dao” of the universe.The books Xun zi and Han fei zi are contemporary masterpiece of thoughts withLu’s spring and Autumn, and there are similarities among them. Different focuses leadto different thoughts, this paper trys to compare the similarities and differences in thethree books. By this comparion, this paper conclude the reason that Lu’s spring andAutumn cannot be implemented successfully is the immaturity of political power andutopianism in thoughts.Though it is failed to be carried out in that time,talent thoughts in Lu’s spring andAutumn represent its value in the developing of history.
