As a popular composer and conductor, Tan Dun enjoys a tremendous international reputation.His music style stretches across categories of eastern and western music and performing arts that possessesdistinctive innovative value. He is called by the literary world as “the card of Chinese culture”; he wonworldwide influential music awards of big concert recently. As a Changsha person living on the bank ofXiangjiang River, Tandun’s music style also takes in rich flavors of Xiangchu, covering refreshing regionalcustoms. The unconventional musicianship and theater performance features are revealed in his music,which is well known for its lots of collage characteristics in music industry at home and abroad. In2008,he created the LOGO music and prize presentation music for Beijing Olympic Games and enjoyed morepopular honor. The piano suite Recall is the most representative work, which shows the high degree andmeaning of his music creation. Based on above, this thesis aims at the analysis of piano suite Recall from anew perspective.
