On The Phenomenon Of "Aphasia" In Chinese Contemporary Art Criticism

Recently compared to Chinese contemporary creative art it is not optimistic for the study of the artcriticism. Especially with the overall marketization of contemporary art and the sudden culturaltransformation since the nineties, it cannot be avoided to know the absence of criticism in various artactivities. Moreover, until today, this trend has not got any better."Aphasia " now becomes a mostappropriate vocabulary of vivid metaphor in criticism.With a current change of commercial value to revenue in the process of social change, thephenomenon of "Aphasia" appears. This research makes an elaborative description on concretemanifestations of this symptom. In an objective view, there is no doubt that the dilemma of "Aphasia" facedin art criticism is closely related to defects in the overall social mechanism and current cultural ecologicalenvironment. So this paper mainly makes three dimensions of pathological analysis from the externalenvironment factors---returning from critics, the one taking the leader and eye effect. What’s more, itcannot ignore constraints within the factor of art criticism compared to the external environment, amongwhich its internal structure concerning the circle barriers, standards lost and uneven situation will bediscussed in detail. By way of the systematic study above, it concludes that it is necessary to view thedilemma of "Aphasia" dialectically. Furthermore the urgent need is to defend criticism in the process ofresearch, among which critics should have a positive attitude, returning to the position of " writer ".All in all, faced with the embarrassing predicament of art criticism today, only through clarifying thecrux of the problem it will find out the root of problem, which leas to the solution of this dilemma of"Aphasia" in art criticism. In this paper, the author considers that, with the common efforts, the studyshould not only be carried on the basis of theoretical knowledge and cognitive theories, but it also relates tothe issues on operational level.
