In the present,our country is striving for a harmonious society andvigorously pushing forward transform of the standard of public conduct. However, there are still manydisharmonious phenomena, such as the common clan of "road rage" and the rising divorce rate, etc.. Andhow to resolve these interpersonal contradiction and realize the real "harmonious" has become a socialchallenge today. Forgiveness, which is a kind of positive personality traits, shows a good performance inthe relief of negative emotions and interpersonal conflict. Forgiveness is the behavior of appreciating theharmony, so to conduct a thorough research on forgiveness has profound social significances.This study adopts a questionnaire survey and selects802individuals of emerging adult from fouruniversities in Kaifeng and Linfen as the subjects,to explore the effect of the identity style on thedispositional forgiveness, on basis of which, the experimental method is adopted for subjects in differentlevel of forgiveness to explore their perceptual processing characteristics. The results show that:(1)the revised dispositional forgive questionnaire includes three dimensions of forgiving yourself,forgiving others and forgiving situation. The formal test results show that the structure model of thequestionnaire is fitting well and the questionnaire shows good reliability and validity and can be used asthe research tool in measuring the forgiveness tend of emerging adults;(2)the analysis of dispositional forgiveness in the demographic characteristics shows that,significantdifferences of dispositional forgiveness in the dimension of forgiving themselves for different gender;significant difference of dispositional forgiveness in forgiving others and forgiving situation on the sourcesof students; total score of the dispositional forgiveness and each dimension on the grade difference was notsignificant; significant difference of dispositional forgiveness in the dimension of forgiving themselves andtotal score on the different major;(3)the analysis of multiple regression between the ego identity style and the dispositional forgivenessreveals that different patterns of forgiveness is a function of identity styles; the informational style couldsignificantly predict the level of forgiving others; the normative style and the diffuse-avoidant style could significantly predict the level of forgiving the situation;(4) the dot probe paradigm and the emotional stroop task are used to explore attentional bias andperceptual processing bias in different levels of dispositional forgiveness.The results suggest that there isno significant difference about the subjects’ reaction time in the position of detect stimuli of differentforgiveness levels,and no attention bias; the subjects of higher forgiveness level spend more time inreacting the detect stimulation than the individuals of lower forgiveness level; the subjects of higher levelforgiveness have a perceptual processing bias on positive words, and the subjects of lower level forgivenesshave a perceptual processing bias on negative words; the subjects who attend the experiment have nosignificant difference in the three kinds of vocabulary. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | emerging adulthood, dispositional forgiveness, identity style, attentional bias, perceptualprocessing bias | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
