Discourse behavior of people affected by their role consciousness, this performance is particularly prominent in the talk show. In this paper, we choose the host’s idealized role consciousness as a breakthrough point, starting from the host multiple role consciousness, to research the discourse performance, the discourse characteristic and the psychological mechanism of using this discourse. The article is divided into six parts:The first part:Introduction. In the introduction part, the main contents include the research objects, status, significance, methods and corpus sources of this paper.The second part:The host multiple role consciousness. By comparing the difference among the hosts, the daily communicators and the television actors, we found the hosts have three kinds of role consciousness:I am a "host"(The host ecru identity consciousness), I were "you"(the stage object consciousness), I am the "audience"(the audience consciousness). Among them, the daily communicators are lack of the audience consciousness, and the television actors are lack of the stage object consciousness.The third part:The host ecru identity consciousness and discourse analysis. The conversation between the hosts and the guests is different from the daily conversation, the biggest difference between them is that the former is not casual chat, but with communication tasks, such as asking the guests and obtaining their information; Controlling the program process and so on. All these tasks require the hosts have the host ecru identity consciousness. Under this consciousness dominated, the host’s most distinctive discourse into the following several aspects:Firstly, comprehensive distribution of the turn. Secondly, the evaluative discourse as the "border" of topic change. The fourth part:The stage object consciousness and discourse analysis. In order to present the program perfectly, the hosts need to complete the following main tasks:Shape a good image.of guests; Help guests timely when they encounter problems, obstacle or embarrassment. The hosts in the multiple host program should pay attention to the state of other hosts, if encounter emergency, they must give aid to their host partners and so on. All these tasks require the hosts have the stage object consciousness. Under this consciousness dominated, the host’s most distinctive discourse into the following several aspects:Firstly, save the negative words. Although the two types of talk show are all saving the negative discourse, the emergence of negative discourse in the multiple host program is obviously higher than the conventional interview program. Secondly, use the assist discourse actively. Thirdly, the former request discourses are in common use.The fifth part:The audience consciousness and discourse analysis, In order to make the program achieve the expected effect, the hosts need to complete the following main tasks: Summarize the content of the conversation, it is helpful audiences to understand; Repeat the information constantly, whenever the audiences watch the program, they can quickly enter the program situation; Take care of the opinions of the audiences at the scene and also consider the needs of the audiences who are not present and so on. All these tasks require the hosts have the audience consciousness. Under this consciousness dominated, the host’s most distinctive discourse into the following several aspects:Firstly, repeat the name. Secondly, use the tag questions frequently. The main function of using the tag questions is to increase the interaction with the audience, from the statistics, the use frequency of the tag questions in the multiple host program is higher than the conventional interview program, thus we concluded that the multiple host program pay more attention to interact with the audiences. Thirdly, exchanging use the said demonstration pronoun.The sixth part:Conclusion.
