With the decline of water transportation, the support strength of urban prosperity collapse, combine with the hit of the war and the wane of foreign, many urban decay, once the famous town of Sheqi Town also rapidly decline and lose the position of thorough fares of nine provinces,"Almost all residents are unemplement". After the fall of Tangbai River, original flourishing Tangbai River become remote and occlusion, the economic development of the basin has also greatly limited.This article argues that the traffic is still the important reason which restrict the development of the basin. History as a mirror, to developed economy, must be developed transportation, in particular to revive the conditions of the river to navigation, make basin and the jianghan even with the Yangtze river economic zone linked more closely, so as to better promote the development of region economy and urban prosperity.
