With growing comprehensive national strength and rising international status,China has become the focus of world attention. Chinese culture has a long andprofound history. And the bright national characteristic is attracting more and moreforeign learners to learn Chinese also to learn Chinese culture. The Chinese folkculture is the most vivid and appealing part of Chinese culture, and the Chinese folkculture also the most closely linked to the daily life of the Chinese people. Therefore,in teaching Chinese as a foreign language both skills teaching and culture teaching areall closely connected with folk culture. Folk culture is an important part in teachingChinese as a foreign language. The comprehensive course of TCSL as a main courseof teaching Chinese as a foreign language, and the center of teaching language skillsand communicative skills to train foreign students’ communicative competence, thusthe comprehensive teaching Chinese as a foreign language has been a hot research intopic. Based on the previous studies, using literature retrieval, empirical research, andquestionnaire survey method, to determine the integrated course of "acculturation"breakthrough is the folk culture. Through textbook analysis and questionnaire survey,proves the necessity of folk culture into the comprehensive teaching, then discussesthe folk culture into the comprehensive teaching principles.
