In recent years, numbers of people learning Chinese and Chinese culture grow rapidly in Asian Nations since Chinese getting more and more popular, especially in Thailand, which has a long history of Chinese education. Confucius Institute can be found all places around Thailand because of the good diplomatic relationship of Thailand and China and the number of Chinese teachers that go to Thailand surges ever years as well. To meet the large growing demand of Chinese teachers, our country has a plan for training plenty of volunteers, practicing teachers and certified teachers of teaching Chinese. Comparing with the volunteers and the certified teachers, the practicing teachers are of more value in study. This thesis targets in the practicing teachers who go to Thailand and delves into the state quo of Chinese teaching in Thailand. Combining the reality, questioning in the primary level of Chinese comprehensive class, as the main contend of study, is chosen to do the research and analysis.Comprehensive class plays a guiding role in teaching Chinese to speakers of other language. Raising questions in class is one of the best way of the communication between the teacher and students. To the certain extent, making good use of this method can attract the eyes of the learners and also help teachers with controlling the class. Therefore, through the way of watching class video, analyzing questionnaire from students, talking with teachers and taking method of statistics, comparison, analysis and synthesis. The thesis makes a conclusion after analyzing the current situation in primary level of Chinese comprehensive class in Thailand. The thesis consists of4parts.The first one is introduction that presents the background and the significance of the topic and summarizes the research of raising questions in Chinese class.Next part is the statement and analysis of the current situation, which is focus on transcribing the collecting linguistic data selectively from class video and sorting the questionnaire and the record of talking. Digging out questions during the process is the preparation for the third part.The third charpter is the strategy of questioning. The theoretical basis will be firstly stated. Then the thesis sums up the principle of the primary level of Chinese comprehensive class which is the source of the strategy of questioning.The last part is the summary of the main idea and puts forwards the solutions of the improvement of the primary level of Chinese comprehensive class in Thailand. Meanwhile, the author is aware of the limitation of the thesis and point out the further questions that need to be investigated in the future.
