The Poetic View Of Shi Lin Guang Ji

Shi Lin Guang Ji is a selective book of notes on poets and poetry composed by CaiZhengsun in Southern Song Dynasty. It compiled lots of poems from Jin Dynasty, TangDynasty and Northern Song Dynasty, and attached with comments by former people. It isa composition combined with notes on poets and poetry, selective style and compilationstyle. The study on his book should not limited at literature research or stylistic analysis,exploring his poetics thought based on this will make the study fruitful. This paper layoutthe study with four parts from the development history of poetics, accordanced with thestylistic rules and layout of original work, and emphasized on poetics criticism.The first three parts divided Shi Lin Guang Ji to Jin Dynasty, Tang Dynasty andSong Dynasty as time from the view of history of poetry, and formed it’s catalogue bypoets to indicate the connection between the stylistic rules and layout of original workand poetics concepts. The first part explained the poetics criticism of Jin Dynastyreflected in this book, and pointed out the ideological connotation of Cai Zhengsunchoosed Tao Yuanming as the Master of poetics and why only choosed him during JinDynasty and Song Dynasty. The second part is poetics criticism of Tang Dynasty,discussed Cai Zhengsun’s selection propensity of poems of other poets from TangDynasty on the basis of Li bai and Du Fu. The third part is poetics criticism of NorthernSong Dynasty.This part studied Cai Zhengsun’s poetic view on the poems of Northern,started with Song Style by Su Shi and elaborated with major poets and poem styles in thisDynasty.The Last part summarized poetics thoughts of this book, discussed his poeticcreation, aesthetic purport and poetics viewpoints, tried to find a comprehensive andsystematic theory system on the basis of enriching and completing his poeticsviewpoints.
