The Research For Shen Yue’s Fu

Shen Yue is a well-known writer in the literary history of SouthDynasty,experiencing the three generation of Song,Qi and Liang.He is one of theadvocates of New style poetry,going by the name of “Great respected master”.He hasthe profound influence in China literature history. Owing to the losing of thedocuments in the Six Dynasties,Shen Yue’s Fu have been lost mostly. Fortunately,YiWen Lei Ju has embodied ten fragments and Liang Shu has embodied the full text ofJiao Ju Fu.About Shen Yue’s researches,the academic world always concentrates on hisSound theory,Song Book,poems,and so on.By comparison,few people pay closeattention to Shen Yue’s Fu. In this context,I will focus on Shen Yue’ Fu,hoping makea overall introduction of the creation background,historical heritage,content and theartistic characteristics.At the same time,I hope that my endeavor will make theresearch about Shen Yue comprehensive tendency.The introduction is a simple comb about Shen Yue’s research,pointing out thepurpose of my study.In the first chapter,according to Shen Yue’s life experience and his Fu’scontent,I will explore the creation time to a better understanding of the Fu’s meaning.According to the subject matter,we can divide Shen Yue’s Fu into fourcategories,including about erotic works,chanting tings,singing from his heart andleisure. By the way of intensive study about the Fu’s original text,I have understandedthe substance compresively and comprehended the emotion connotation profoundly.In the second chapter, I will make selective analysis about the Fu’s artisticcharacteristics,exploring the rhythm beauty, the poetic tendency of Shen Yue’s Fu andthe “San yi” view of literature. The rhythm beauty profits from therhyming,pairing,alliteration and assonance,and so on. The poetic tendency is mainlyreflected in the creation of the poetry and Fu works which have the same name,the useof five-character octave and the response between poetry and Fu. Meanwhile,the “Sanyi” said gets the most incisive embodiment in Shen Yue’s Fu.In the third chapter,I will pay attention to the historical inheritance,whichcontains the inherit from the songs of Chu,the previous customs about depicting birds,Pan Yue and Xie Lingyun’s Fu. The Sao sentence,the use of function words,theuse of words from the songs of Chu and the special writing technique reflect theinherit from the songs of Chu. Shen Yue’s “Yong Niao Fu” reflects that Shen Yue hassucceeded the traditional custom about depicting birds. Shen Yue’s “Xian Shi Fu”absorbs the contradictory thoughts from Pan Yue’s Fu as well as the realistic scenerytechnique from Xie Lingyun’s Fu.In the conclusion, I will discuss the value and status of Shen Yue’s Fu and theimpaction future generations in the history of Fu. I hope that my research can causethe attention to Shen Yue’s Fu.
