Study On The Language And Culture Of China Imperial Nianhao

The Chinese civilization is long, and the Chinese nation is noble and great, and the Chinese culture is extensive and profound. The emperor’s Nianhao culture is part of Chinese great and vast culture constituents. This article is based on Nianhao as object of study, which discusses from the language to the culture, in order to discover its more value. This paper is mainly divided into three parts:introduction, text and conclusion. The following is the detail:Part I is the introduction. This part integrated describes three aspects:the subject source and value, the Nianhao synopsis and the present situation of research, the material origin and research methods. This part of paper provides theoretical and material foundation for later research.Part II is the mainly body of this essay which consists of four chapters:The first part studies on characteristics of the characters of the Nianhao. This part uses linguistics correlation theories as well as qualitative and quantitative methods to study from three aspects:The scope of the Nianhao’s characters, the characteristics of the Nianhao’s characters,and the cultural phenomena reflected in Nianhao characters.The second part studies on the lexical features of the Nianhao. This part is the key point of this article, and a difficult chapter too. Through the use of vocabulary learning theory, combined with the statistical methods of quantitative and qualitative to carry on the analysis discussion from four aspects:The Nianhao’s glossary characteristic, the word formation, the method of coinage and the glossary classification.The third part is cultural research of Nianhao. This is the most abundant part in the aspect of content. Through various collection about Nianhao literature material and research material, we can discuss Nianhao’s culture connotation and characteristic from the following aspects:The origin of Nianhao words, the function of Nianhao, the reasons of changing the Nianhao, and the special cases.The fourth part is comparative study. It include two aspects:the horizontal comparison in geographically of Chineses, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese Nianhao and longitudinal comparison in time axis of Chinese Nianhao.Part Ⅲ is the conclusion, which summarizing the full text, stating the value and influence of the Nianhao.
