“Ou Bei Notes on Poetry "is a book about poety theory which is writed by Zhaoyi, who is awriter and historian in the Qing Dynasty. It has a certain status no matter in the in the historyof Qing Dynasty literary criticism, or in the China ancient poetry criticism history.This is made up of five parts. The first chapter mainly summarizes the related research of“OuBei Notes on Poetry” in order to demonstrate the valve of this topic. The second chapter analyzesthe subjective and objective factors from this book. The main objective reasons include thepolitical and cultural background of Qianlong period, the popularity of poetry and thedevelopment of book engraving industry; the subjective reason is that Zhaoyi’s conscious“predication” consciousness. The third chapter is about the influence of Zhaoyi’s historiographythought. Mainly from “the innovation theory” and “the history of poetry” to research the thoughtof “Ou Bei Notes on Poetry”. It’s also compare the same period of Yuan Mei, Jiang Shiquan’spoetry theory. The fourth chapter discusses the critic method “Ou Bei Notes on Poetry "adopted,mainly about the previous argument,comparison of induction and abstracting method.The fifth chapter is the book’s significance of the times, and try to point out the deficiencyof“Ou Bei Notes on Poetry”.
