The Research Of Yang Xiong’s Personality And His Production

Yang Xiong is a famous writer, scribes and linguist of the Han dynasty,and he made great achievements. Everyone and his literary works cannot existindependently. It is inevitable that there is a certain correlation between thewriter and political environment, cultural background, social life, folk secularetc. The article starts with Yang Xiong’s personality and uses the personalitycharacteristics to put life, thoughts, achievement and other stuff together. It isconvenient for examining the relationship between them. The research idea ofthis paper is based on the concrete production. The emphasis is using theliterature and the historical science to corroborate each other, thereby toanalyze Yang Xiong’s thought and his personality. Yang Xiong had experienced fiveemperors and had deep qualifications, but his official career was not smooth.His bumpy life is mainly divided into four stages. Yang Xiong’s attitudetowards life at each stage is different.The third part analyzes the personality characteristics of Yang Xiong andits forming process. This part mainly use the" talent ","pneuma","learning","habit" four aspects of "Wen Xin Diao Long" to explore the personalitycharacteristics of Yang Xiong. Yang Xiong’s personality characteristics arerespectively include these parts: he’s smart, curiousness and tanlented; he is quiet and persists in his standpoint; he dosen’t envy splendor and willing toloneliness; he is aggressive in politics and worries about people and countries;finally, he has a willing to stay away from evil and want his article historicspread. We cant find reflections of these personalities in his production.The fourth part discusses the relationship between personality traits andthe works of Yang Xiong. This part mainly analyse from the literaryachievements, literary theory achievement, classics achievement, linguisticsachievement to discuss their link between the personality characteristics. Nomatter which part of these four is beyond reach of ordinary people. YangXiong get such achievement which could not separate with his specialpersonalities.The fifth part discusses the Yang Xiong’s influence on later generations.This part analyses from his literary achievements, literary theory achievement,classics achievement, linguistics achievement as well to illustrate the impacton later generations. No matter his personality charm or his achievement inacademic, the impact on the later ages can not be ignored.This paper roundly investigates Yang Xiong’s personality, I attempt toreveal why Yang Xiong made such achievement and formed an unique style.And I want to restore a real Yang Xiong.
