This paper redefined the BA-style descriptive adjectives on the basis ofa compr--ehensive study of the77BA-style descriptive adjectives (see Schedule1) listed byLv Shuxiang(1980), the126descriptive ad jectives which can be overlapped for DABAtype (see Schedule2) accounted by Wang Sumei (1998), the307"Nouns modifiedAdjectives" structure (see Schedule3) listed by Wu Changan (2002)，the160BA-style descriptive adjectives(see Schedule4) listed by Lu Xiuping (2009), the64double syllable descriptive adjectives (see Schedule5) noted by Modern Chinesedictionary"(fifth edition) and the67double syllable descriptive adjectives (seeSchedule6) noted by Modern Chinese didionary"(sixlh edition)，finally determined93BA-style descriptive adjectives (see Schedule7) as the research object of thisarticle.This paper starting rfom the ofrm characteristics of BA-style descriptiveadjectives, respectively investigates the the word ofrmation, semantic features andcognitive approach of the BA-style descriptive adjectives on the theory of StructuralLinguistics, Cognitive Linguistics, Functional Linguistics, and modern Chineselexical semantics and word-building. And also has carried on the detailed descriptionto the basic syntax function, even describes and explains its extraordinary collocationphenomenon on the point of drift to Attributes and Dynamics, All the above is to havea more comprehensive understanding of the BA-stylc dcscriptivc adjcctivcs and itsspecial status in lexical category. Full-tect is divided into six chapters.The first chapter is the per&ce, illustrates the objects and purpose ol’the research,introduces status of study-related research, gives a quantitative analysis on the object of reaearch, and explains the theory,methods,instructbns related to the study.The second chapter is the word formation and semantic features and cognitivestyle of the BA-style descriptive adjectives. First investigates its formation reasons,starting from the nature of A and B of the BA-style descriptive adjectives; Thenexamines the semantic characteristics of the BA-style descriptive adjectives,from thepoint of boundedness, temporary, the description and so on; Finally analyzes thecognitive style of the BA-style descriptive adjectives based on Sequential scanning,Metaphorical way of thinking and Prototype theory of Categorization.The third chapter is the examination of of the BA-style descriptive adjectives.Comprehensively investigated the basic syntax function of them and explores therestriction conditions as they act as different syntactic components at most degree.The fourth chapter is the attributed dritf of the BA-style descriptive adjectives.This chapter describes some extraordinary collocation phenomenon in detail due tothe weakened description and the weariless of the degree, and attenpt to analyze themotivation and mechanism of the dritf.The fifth chapter is the dynamic of the BA-style descriptive adjectives. Using thetheory of structural linguistics, functional linguistics, etc., investigated the dynamictendency of the BA-style descriptive adjectives rfom the two aspects of "the BA-stylestate adjective+tense particle" and44the BA-style state adjective+verb tend，，’Furthermore, analyzed the semantic and cognitive background which produces thedynamic tendency.The sixth chapter is the ending words. It generalizes issues this article discussesand get the final words,significance and innovations also be illustrated.
