Abstract:The Birth of Tragedy is Nietzsche’s first book, and this book is not only an aesthetic book, but also a philosophical book which expresses Nietzsche’s views on life, and this book is the preliminary stage of Nietzsche’s philosophy. The Birth of Tragedy experienced the periods of depression, stagnation and prosperity in China, and it had an important effect on Chinese cultural circles. At the same time, the history of acceptance of The Birth of Tragedy in China is also the history of Chinese modern culture. This article researches on the history of acceptance of The Birth of Tragedy in China from the aspect of hermeneutic. On one hand, this article sorts out the history of acceptance of The Birth of Tragedy in China, which plays a supplementary role. On the other hand, this article talks about the change of Chinese society and thought which nearly have one hundred years through the history of acceptance of The Birth of Tragedy in China. This article includes the following parts:Introduction mainly introduces overseas and domestic research status of The Birth of Tragedy, and reason and significance of choosing this topic are also referred to. Main body of this article has four parts. Part one discusses the Chinese version of The Birth of Tragedy; part two sorts out the situation of acceptance of The Birth of Tragedy in China before1980, in this period, acceptance of The Birth of Tragedy in China was scattered, and at the beginning of1950s to1970s, acceptance of The Birth of Tragedy in China was stagnant; part three sorts out the situation of acceptance of The Birth of Tragedy in China after1980, in this period, researching on The Birth of Tragedy became a hot trend in China, and there was great breakthrough on breadth and depth; part four is a reflection on the situation of acceptance of The Birth of Tragedy in China through the aspect of hermeneutic, and part four puts forward new ideas based on combining Chinese culture with eastern and western language context. Conclusion is the summary and introspection of this article.
