From the view ofHistory of Art, the relationship between picture background and theme of the content isessentially the relationship between “pictures” and “background”, which has largeexpression space; This thesis studies on divergent pattern of manifestation, use predecessorartists’ classic works to analyze handling of picture backgrounds. I mainly discussoutstanding features of picture background handling within the whole relationships ofpictures from the perspectives of combined pictures and backgrounds, separated picturesand backgrounds, and reciprocal of pictures and backgrounds. In the same time, I will stateartistic experience and difficulties I encounter in my creation from the aspects of topicchoice, picture background color application, composition of pictures based on mygraduation creation, combing theories with realities. Above all, reflections and conclusionswill be made to improve my artistic creation in the future.
