| Theodore Roosevelt in the Badlands, a fresh book at a critical point on TheodoreRoosevelt’s road to the White House and a very enjoyable read, describes theturbulent years Theodore Roosevelt spent as a rancher in the Badlands of DakotaTerritory. The author selected some parts of this book, including the preface, prologue,and chapter8to12, as the materials for the translation and wrote a translation reportafter all the translation work finished. The translation report includes five parts, withthe first and second part as the introduction of the book and the intention of the writer.The third part domains the translation report which analyzes the translation problemsand its relevant translation methods. The fourth and the last part focus on theexperience and some conclusions of the writer, which can be used as a reference forother translators. |
