This paper mainly selects Kumarajiva’s translation onVimalakirti-Nirdesa-Sutra and its different text versions withthe same message but different translation as the researchobject, then collates them by carefully comparing and textualresearching them.In the specific process of collation, we useTaisho Tripitaka as the master copy, and cite Chinese Tripitaka(referred to as China Tibet) as well as Room by Rocks as collatedmaterial, simultaneously refer some Chinese local literaturesat various historical periods, correcting its mistakes ascomprehensively as possible.Five parts are included in the paper:I: Introduction. We introduce the translator Kumarajiva andthe excusive translations of Vimalakirti-Nirdesa-Sutra, aswell as its research status and research methods, etc.II: The collation of exclusive versions of the textVimalakirti-Nirdesa-Sutra,including wrong words, missingwords, derivative words and inverted words. III: The translations of different versions by exclusiveof Vimalakirti-Nirdesa-Sutra. we mainly study following fouraspects, that is, monosyllable and monosyllable, monosyllableand polysyllable, polysyllable and monosyllable, andpolysyllable and polysyllable, so as to study some of thechanges of Chinese vocabulary at every age.IV: Research on the relationship between words ofVimalakirti-Nirdesa-Sutra. Including interchangeablecharacters, ancient words and synonyms.V: By way of examples, we summarize in four aspects of theresearch value of different versions onVimalakirti-Nirdesa-Sutra.
